Connecting Trade Doubler PVN on Clarisights

Trade Doubler PVN (Private / Performance-Verified Network) is Trade Doubler's white-label affiliate platform that lets brands, agencies, and large publishers run their own partner network on Trade Doubler infrastructure. The PVN integration is the right one to use when your Trade Doubler account is structured as a private network with one or more advertiser organisations under it — the API endpoints are network-scoped and require an advertiser_org_id.

If your Trade Doubler account is a standard advertiser account (not run as a PVN), use the Trade Doubler integration instead.

Prerequisites

An active Trade Doubler PVN at connect.tradedoubler.com
API client credentials issued from Trade Doubler — Tools → API Info → Clients → Add new client. Capture the Client ID and Client Secret.
A Trade Doubler login (username + password) that has access to the network's advertiser organisations
The advertiser organisation ID for the network you want to report on (visible in the Trade Doubler UI URL when viewing the advertiser, or available from your Trade Doubler account manager)

Steps to Connect

Step 1 — Generate Trade Doubler PVN API credentials

Sign in to Trade Doubler Connect, open Tools → API Info → Clients, and add a new client. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret. You will also need the username and password of a network user that has access to the advertiser organisation.

Step 2 — Locate the advertiser organisation ID

In Trade Doubler Connect, navigate to the advertiser organisation under your network. The numeric ID is part of the URL. If you can't find it, ask your Trade Doubler account manager — they'll provide the advertiser_org_id for each advertiser you need to report on.

⚠ Choosing the wrong integration → If your Trade Doubler account is a regular advertiser (not a PVN), use the Trade Doubler integration. PVN endpoints (/network/advertiser/{org_id}/...) will return 404 for non-network accounts.

Step 3 — Add Trade Doubler PVN in Clarisights

In Clarisights, go to Integrations → Trade Doubler PVN → Add Account.

Step 4 — Enter credentials

Provide a friendly Account Name, then paste your Client ID, Client Secret, Username, Password, and the Advertiser Org ID. Click Validate.

Clarisights exchanges the credentials for an OAuth access token, then queries /network/advertiser/{advertiser_org_id}/programs and lists every active program under the network advertiser.

⚠ "advertiser_org_id is required" or 404 from PVN endpoints → The advertiser organisation ID is missing or wrong. Re-confirm the ID with your Trade Doubler account manager and re-enter it.

⚠ "Invalid credentials" on validate → Confirm the Client ID / Secret are correct and not revoked, and that the username / password sign in cleanly at connect.tradedoubler.com. If your password was rotated recently, re-enter it. The integration uses the OAuth password grant; if Trade Doubler disabled it on your client, ask your Trade Doubler account manager to re-enable it.

Step 5 — Select programs

Pick the programs you want to connect, optionally rename them, and click Create Accounts.

Verify the connection

Go to Integrations → Trade Doubler PVN. Each connected program should show a "Connected" status.
First data appears at the next scheduled refresh (within ~24 hours).
Quick start: create a new report, add Trade Doubler PVN as the data source, and add Program · Publisher · Clicks · Sales · Commission Total.

Data available

Trade Doubler PVN exposes the same dataset as the standard Trade Doubler integration — the only difference is that requests are scoped to a network advertiser via advertiser_org_id.

Limitations & known constraints

One advertiser organisation per connection: each Clarisights integration is scoped to a single advertiser_org_id. Networks with multiple advertiser organisations need a separate Trade Doubler PVN connection per organisation.
OAuth password grant: Trade Doubler PVN uses the password grant flow. If Trade Doubler tightens grant types, you may need to re-issue your client credentials.
3-day rolling window: each scheduled run pulls today + the previous 3 days. Older corrections (e.g., late commission status changes) require a manual backfill from support.
Rate limits: 20 API calls per minute per company-channel pair.
No native Ad Group at the program level: Clarisights aliases Site / Source as Ad Group, and individual transactions as Ad.
Currency conversion is API-side: Clarisights requests reports in your company currency via reportCurrencyCode. Amounts may differ slightly from values shown in the Trade Doubler UI in the program's native currency.

Operating notes

Refresh schedule: daily, with a today + 3-day lookback to catch late-attributed transactions.
Lookback: 3 days on every run.
Multi-account: a single set of credentials + advertiser_org_id covers every program under that network advertiser. Programs added in Trade Doubler after the initial connect are discovered on the next refresh.
Currency conversion: handled by Trade Doubler at request time. To change the reporting currency, update your Clarisights company currency.
Credential rotation: tokens auto-refresh; if the password or Client Secret rotates, update them in Integrations → Trade Doubler PVN → Edit Credentials. To switch to a different advertiser organisation, add a new connection.
