Steps to Connect
Step 1 — Sign in with AdRoll from Clarisights
In Clarisights, go to Integrations → AdRoll and click Connect. You'll be redirected to AdRoll (services.adroll.com) to authenticate. Sign in with the AdRoll user that has access to the advertisables you want to connect.

Step 2 — Authorize Clarisights
AdRoll will display a permission screen listing the access Clarisights requires (read access to advertisables, campaigns, ad groups, ads, and reporting). Click Allow.
⚠ Common error: "Missing authentication token!" → AdRoll did not return both an access token and a refresh token. Cancel and retry the connect flow; if the error persists, ensure your AdRoll user has access to at least one advertisable in the organization.
Step 3 — Select advertisables
After authorization, Clarisights automatically discovers every advertisable your AdRoll user has access to (via the get_advertisables endpoint). Pick the ones you want to connect, optionally rename them, and click Create Accounts.

Verify the connection
Go to Integrations → AdRoll. Each connected advertisable should show a "Connected" status with its Advertisable ID.
First data appears within 24 hours, after the next scheduled sync.
Quick start: create a new report, add AdRoll as the data source, and add Account · Campaign · Impressions · Clicks · Spend · Click-Attributed Revenue.

Limitations & known constraints
Two report streams: AdRoll exposes performance via two separate endpoints — deliveries (impressions / clicks / spend) and attributions (VTC / CTC / revenue). Both are pulled and stitched together in Clarisights, but a delay in one stream can briefly show inconsistent numbers between delivery and attribution metrics.
UTC-only timezone: All AdRoll stats are stored in UTC. Day-boundary comparisons against channels in other timezones may show small alignment differences.
Ad → Ad Group association: Some AdRoll API responses don't include the parent ad group on an ad. Clarisights reconstructs the mapping by walking ad-group-to-ad relationships during sync, but if a brand-new ad lands between syncs it may briefly appear without an ad-group parent.
Audience segment names: Display names for retargeting segments are fetched via a separate segment lookup. Newly created segments may show only the segment ID until the next sync resolves the name.
Token rotation: AdRoll rotates the refresh token on every access-token refresh. Clarisights persists the new refresh token automatically, but if you revoke Clarisights' access in AdRoll the integration will stop syncing until you reconnect.
Operating notes
Refresh schedule: data is pulled daily; access tokens auto-refresh on demand.
Multi-account: a single AdRoll user can connect every advertisable they have access to. Use additional AdRoll users for advertisables managed by separate organizations.
Currency conversion: native account currency is preserved on ingest and converted to your reporting currency by Clarisights.
Credential rotation: re-authenticate any time from Integrations → AdRoll → Reconnect. You'll need to reconnect after revoking access in AdRoll or after a year (when the AdRoll refresh token expires).
