Prerequisites
An active Facebook Page with at least 100 likes — Facebook only exposes Page Insights data once a Page crosses this threshold.
A Facebook user account with an Admin, Editor, Moderator, Advertiser, or Analyst role on each Page you want to connect.
Permission to authorize third-party apps on your Facebook profile (no Business Manager restrictions blocking app authorization).
If your Page is governed by Meta Business Manager, an admin must grant your user access to the Page before it shows up in the discovery list.
Steps to Connect
Step 1 — Sign in with Facebook from Clarisights
In Clarisights, go to Integrations → Organic Channels → Facebook Organic and click Connect. You will be redirected to Facebook to authenticate. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Pages you want to connect.

Step 2 — Authorize Clarisights and select Pages
Facebook will display a permission screen listing the access Clarisights requires (read access to your Pages, Page content, and insights). On the Page selection step, choose every Page you want to bring into Clarisights — Pages you deselect here cannot be connected later without re-running OAuth. Click Continue to grant access.
⚠ Common error: "You don’t have permission to authorize this app." → Your Facebook profile or Business Manager has third-party app authorization disabled. Ask your Business Manager admin to enable it, or sign in with a different Facebook user that has the required Page role.
⚠ Common error: "No Pages available to connect." → Your Facebook user is not assigned a role on any eligible Page. Open Your Pages on Facebook to confirm; ask a Page admin to grant you Admin / Editor / Analyst access.
Step 3 — Select the Pages to onboard
After authorization, Clarisights automatically discovers every Page your Facebook user manages. Pick the Pages you want to connect, optionally rename them, and click Create Accounts. Each selected Page becomes a connected account in Clarisights.
Verify the connection
Go to Integrations → Facebook Organic. Each connected Page should show a Connected status with the Page ID populated.
First data appears within ~24 hours of the next scheduled sync (Page Insights metrics update once every 24 hours upstream).
Quick start: create a new report, add Facebook Organic as the data source, and pull Account (Page) · Campaign (Post) · FBO Impressions · FBO Post Engagements · FBO Fans.
Data available
Hierarchy
Facebook Organic uses an Account (Page) → Campaign (Post) hierarchy. Clarisights aliases Facebook’s native objects to its standard levels so they slot into multi-channel reports cleanly:
Native level (Facebook) | Clarisights level |
Page | Account |
Post | Campaign |
Page-level breakdown (country, city, locale, age & gender, like source, etc.) | Account Segment |
Post-level breakdown (consumption type, click type, action type) | Campaign Segment |
There is no Ad Group or Ad level — Facebook Organic is a two-level integration plus segment breakdowns.

Limitations & known constraints
100-fan minimum: Facebook only returns Page Insights data once a Page has at least 100 likes. Smaller Pages connect successfully but report no metric data.
2-year history cap: Facebook only retains the last 2 years of insights data per Page.
7-day reporting splits: Page Insights API can fail with "reduce the amount of data" errors on long windows. Clarisights pulls in 7-day splits to avoid this — large historical pulls are slower as a result.
Daily refresh ceiling: Most Page Insights metrics update at most once every 24 hours upstream. Same-day data may be incomplete.
June 15, 2026 deprecations: Meta is deprecating several Page Insights metrics (across all API versions). Affected metrics will be flagged in the Clarisights metric picker as they are removed from the API.
Page Access Token dependency: Lower-level (post) metrics rely on a long-lived Page Access Token that Clarisights stores at connection time. Tokens revoked from your Facebook account’s Business Integrations stop the sync.
Video Stories / Reels: only standard Page video metrics are pulled; Reels-specific insights are not yet exposed.
Operating notes
Refresh schedule: daily.
Lookback: full historical pull on first connect (subject to Facebook’s 2-year cap), incremental thereafter. Each ingestion run splits the duration into 7-day chunks to stay within Facebook’s API limits.
Multi-Page: a single Facebook user can connect any number of Pages it has a role on. Re-run OAuth to add Pages assigned to your user after the initial connection.
Adding new Pages: when a new Page is created or assigned to your Facebook user, return to Clarisights and re-open the Facebook Organic integration to discover and add it.
Credential rotation: OAuth tokens refresh automatically. Re-authenticate only if you change your Facebook password, revoke Clarisights from your Business Integrations, or your Page admin role is revoked.
Internal Page status: deactivated Pages stop fetching new data but retain historical reports.
