Connecting HubSpot on Clarisights
HubSpot is a CRM and marketing automation platform. Connecting your HubSpot Hub to Clarisights brings your deal pipelines, deal stages, and won-deal revenue into reporting alongside your paid media spend, so you can answer questions like "how much pipeline did Google Ads create last month?" or "what is our blended cost per closed-won deal across LinkedIn and Facebook?".

Prerequisites
An active HubSpot Hub with at least one Deal Pipeline configured
A HubSpot user account with permission to authorize third-party apps and read CRM data (Deals, Pipelines)
If your organization restricts which integrations can be installed, ensure the Clarisights HubSpot app is allow-listed by your HubSpot Super Admin
Steps to Connect
Step 1 — Start the connection from Clarisights
In Clarisights, go to Integrations → HubSpot and click Connect. A new window opens to HubSpot's OAuth consent screen.

Step 2 — Sign in to HubSpot
Sign in with the HubSpot user that has access to the Hub you want to connect. If you belong to multiple Hubs, HubSpot will prompt you to select one.
⚠ Common error: "You don't have permission to install this app." → Your HubSpot user role doesn't include third-party app installation rights. Ask a HubSpot Super Admin to install the app on your behalf, or to grant your user the required permission.
Step 3 — Authorize the requested scopes
HubSpot displays the scopes Clarisights requires (CRM read access for deals and pipelines, plus basic account info). Review the scopes and click Connect app.
[TODO: Screenshot needed — HubSpot OAuth consent screen showing requested scopes]
Step 4 — Confirm in Clarisights
Once authorization completes, the window closes and your Hub appears under Integrations → HubSpot with status Active. Hub timezone and default currency are read from HubSpot automatically.
Verify the connection
Go to Integrations → HubSpot. The connected Hub should show Active with the correct Hub ID, timezone, and currency.
First deal data appears within the next scheduled sync (typically within 6 hours of connection).
Quick start: open a report that already has Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads data, add the HubSpot revenue metrics, and group by Deal Pipeline / Deal Stage to see how paid media is contributing to your pipeline.
Data available
Hierarchy
HubSpot does not have an Account → Campaign → Ad Group → Ad hierarchy like a media channel. Instead, deals are organized by Pipeline and Stage:
Native level (HubSpot) | Clarisights level |
Hub | Account |
Deal Pipeline | Campaign |
Deal Stage | Ad Group |
Deal | Ad |
HubSpot revenue is also exposed as a metric on supported ad channels (Google Ads, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) when deals carry the matching hs_analytics_source value. This lets you see HubSpot-attributed revenue alongside spend metrics on those channels without needing to blend.

HubSpot revenue on ad channels
For deals where hs_analytics_source matches a supported paid channel, the revenue is attributed back to the corresponding ad and is available on that channel's reports as:
Metric | Description |
HubSpot Revenue | Won-deal revenue attributed to the ad / campaign |
HubSpot Deals | Count of deals attributed to the ad / campaign |
Limitations & known constraints
Deals only: Clarisights ingests Deals, Deal Pipelines, and Deal Stages. Contacts, Companies, Engagements, Tickets, and Marketing Hub email metrics are not synced.
Single Hub per connection: each HubSpot OAuth connection corresponds to one Hub. To connect multiple Hubs, run the connect flow once per Hub, signed in as a user with access to that Hub.
Source matching is exact: HubSpot revenue is attributed to ad channels by exact
hs_analytics_sourcevalue. Custom or non-standard source values won't roll up automatically. No campaign-level HubSpot Marketing data: this integration is the CRM connector. HubSpot Marketing Hub email/automation analytics aren't available through this integration.
Currency: deal amounts are pulled in the Hub's default currency. Multi-currency Hubs return amounts in each deal's transactional currency, which Clarisights converts to your reporting currency.
Operating notes
Refresh schedule: deals, pipelines, and stages refresh every 6 hours.
Pipeline / Stage changes: when you add or rename a pipeline or stage in HubSpot, the change is picked up on the next sync. Deals already attributed to renamed stages keep their history.
Adding more Hubs: re-open Integrations → HubSpot and click + Account. Sign in with a user that has access to the additional Hub.
Currency conversion: Hub-currency amounts are converted to your reporting currency by Clarisights at query time.
Credential rotation: OAuth refresh tokens rotate automatically. You only need to re-authenticate if you uninstall the Clarisights app from HubSpot's Connected apps settings or if the user who authorized loses CRM access.
