Connecting Yahoo Gemini on Clarisights
Connect your Yahoo Gemini advertiser accounts to monitor native and search ad performance, audience targeting, and conversion metrics across every Yahoo ad format alongside the rest of your marketing stack.
Heads up: Yahoo Gemini is a legacy product. The Clarisights Yahoo integration targets Yahoo's Gemini API (
api.gemini.yahoo.com), which serves the legacy Yahoo Native & Search advertising platform. Yahoo Gemini was sunset publicly in 2019 in favor of Yahoo DSP and Verizon Media DSP, but the API continues to serve some long-running advertiser accounts. If you are looking to connect Yahoo DSP or Yahoo Advertising (the post-Gemini product), please contact Clarisights support — it is a different integration.

Prerequisites
An active Yahoo Gemini advertiser account (the legacy Yahoo Native & Search platform)
A Yahoo user with access to that advertiser at the role required to read campaign, ad, and reporting data
Permission to authorize third-party apps for that Yahoo user
Steps to Connect
Step 1 — Sign in with Yahoo from Clarisights
In Clarisights, go to Integrations → Yahoo and click Connect. You'll be redirected to Yahoo to authenticate. Sign in with the user that has access to the advertisers you want to connect.

Step 2 — Authorize Clarisights
Yahoo will display a permission screen listing the access Clarisights requires (read access to advertisers, campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, and reporting). Click Agree.
⚠ Common error: "Application not authorized." → The Yahoo user does not have access to any Gemini advertiser, or your Yahoo account has third-party app authorization disabled. Confirm in Yahoo Gemini that the user is added to at least one advertiser, and try again.
Step 3 — Select advertisers
After authorization, Clarisights queries Yahoo for every advertiser linked to your user (via the advertiser/ endpoint). Select the advertisers you want to connect, optionally rename them, and click Create Accounts.
⚠ An advertiser is missing → Yahoo only returns advertisers your user is granted access to. In Yahoo Gemini, add the user to the advertiser, then re-open the integration in Clarisights to refresh.
Verify the connection
Go to Integrations → Yahoo. Each connected advertiser should show a "Connected" status with its Advertiser ID.
First data appears within 24 hours of the next scheduled sync.
Quick start: create a new report, add Yahoo as the data source, and add Account · Campaign · Ad Group · Impressions · Clicks · Spend.

Limitations & known constraints
Legacy product: Yahoo Gemini was sunset for new advertisers in 2019. New onboarding to Yahoo Gemini is not generally available; existing customers continue to be served by the legacy API.
Asynchronous reports: Yahoo Gemini reports are submitted as jobs and polled until ready. Large date ranges or wide field selections can take several minutes per advertiser. Clarisights retries up to 10 times per job.
Targeting attributes returned for active + positive only: deleted or excluded targeting rows are not surfaced.
Keyword level only for Search: Keyword data is only meaningful for ad groups configured for Yahoo Search; Native ad groups will not return keywords.
Token revocation: if you revoke Clarisights' access in your Yahoo account, the integration stops syncing until you re-authenticate.
Operating notes
Refresh schedule: data is pulled daily.
Lookback: configured per Clarisights pull — typically the last 30 days.
Adding new advertisers: when a new advertiser is added in Yahoo Gemini, return to Clarisights and re-open the Yahoo integration to discover and add it.
Currency conversion: advertiser currency is preserved on ingest and converted to your reporting currency by Clarisights.
Credential rotation: OAuth tokens refresh automatically. You only need to re-authenticate if you change your Yahoo password, revoke access, or Yahoo invalidates the token.
